Why did my own BSD (Branded Short Domain) become invalid?
PicSee will check whether all the branded short domains have been directed to PicSee successfully or not. If we found that the DNS records of your own domain have not been directed to PicSee, we will make the branded short domain become “invalid”. You only need to reset the DNS records to point to PicSee, and your branded short domain will be restored to ”activated” status.
The method to reset is as follows:
1. Click the account on the top right corner, and go to “Settings”.
2. Switch to the “Domains” tab.
3. Find the own domain which failed to be set up in the “BSD” section.
4. Click the “Reset” button next to the status.
5. Choose your domain registrar. If your domain registrar isn’t on the list, please choose “Others”, and configure the setup in your domain registrar based on the DNS information provided on the page.
6. Because the DNS settings might take up to 48 hours to be activated, we will check once an hour after you configure them. If they are activated, we will send an email to inform you.
I have subscribed to the advanced features. If my branded short domain became invalid, will my advanced features be affected?
The branded short domain becoming invalid doesn’t affect the subscription for the advanced features. If your advanced features are deducted periodically, the setup of the advanced features won’t be removed. However, because the branded short domain became invalid, the advanced features cannot kick in. You only need to reset the DNS record to make the domain direct to PicSee by following the above instructions and the advanced features will become activated automatically.
