Your own domain is not entirely new and unused.
Because your own domain is used for redirection of short links, the domain must be entirely new and unused, which means the domain cannot be used for official websites, blogs, etc.If you want to use the domain of the official website or blog as your short links' domain, please add words like “to”,” link”, etc., to your domain as a subdomain format.
If you are in the above situation, please follow the steps below to reset:
1. Click the account on the top right corner, and go to “Settings”.
2. Switch to the “Domains” tab.
3. Find the own domain which failed to be set up in the “BSD” section.
4. Put your mouse on the branded short domain, and click the trash icon to delete the branded short domain.
5. Click “Add new branded short domain” again.
6. Choose “Use my own domain”, and enter your domain name.
7. Choose “Yes”, and add a subdomain in front of your current domain. “Subdomain. your own domain” will become your branded short domain in the future.
8. Choose your domain registrar. If your domain registrar isn’t on the list, please choose “Others”, and configure the setup in your domain registrar based on the DNS information provided on the page.
9. Because the DNS settings might take up to 48 hours to be activated, we will check once an hour after you configure them. If they are activated, we will send an email to inform you, and you will be able to use this feature.
The method to set up DNS doesn't match the format which the domain registrar requested, which resulted in a failure to direct.
After finding the setup failure, please set it up again by following the steps below.1. Click the account on the top right corner, and go to “Settings”.
2. Switch to the “Domain” tab.
3. Find the own domain which failed to be set up in the “BSD” section.
4. Click the “Reset” button next to the status.
5. Choose your domain registrar. If your domain registrar isn’t in the list, please choose “Others”, and configure the setup in your domain registrar based on the DNS information provided on the page.
Please note: Due to slight differences in DNS setup between each domain registrar, please choose your domain registrar and set the values provided on the PicSee page. If your domain registrar is not listed in the options, please inquire with your domain registrar about the correct method to set DNS or contact our customer service.
