What is the default destination?

The default destination is a feature provided in “PicSee BSD (Branded Short Domain)” or “The advanced features of branded short domain”. This feature allows the audience to direct to the specific page when the audience enters your branded short domain directly. For example, when you click on Shopee's branded short domain https://sho.pe/, you will be directed to the default destination set by Shopee, which is https://shopee.tw/.

Currently, the default redirection page for PicSee branded short domains is the branded short domain feature introductory page (click here to view), which means if you haven't set up a specific default destination for your branded short domain, entering the branded short domain directly, you will automatically be redirected to the page picsee.io/domain.
You can customize the default destination by setting the redirected link of the branded short domain, such as your website's homepage, your fan page, etc., to enhance your branded short domain recognition.

How to set default destination:
1. Click the account on the top right corner, and go to “Settings”.
2. Switch to the “Domains” tab.
3. Find the activated branded short domain for advanced features in the “Branded short domain” section, and click it.
4. Find “Default destination” and click ”Start Setting”
5. Enter the default destination that you want to be directed to when entering the branded short domain directly, and then click "Setup completed”
6. After setting up, you can put your mouse on the domain on “Default destination”, and a trashcan will appear on the right. You can remove these settings by clicking it, and reset another link.
For security and browsing experience considerations, a default destination is not allowed to be set as a “short link”, only can be a normal link. PicSee will not check whether the link is available or not, so we recommend you make a check first before you set the link.
