Install from the Chrome Web Store: PicSee Extension
The extension can be used with or without a PicSee account:
- Start Directly: Shorten URLs instantly without logging in. The shortened links are permanent, but please note that these links cannot be edited or managed in your PicSee account.
- Save Links to My PicSee Account: Save shortened URLs to your PicSee account for management.
Here's how to set up Save Links to My PicSee Account:
1. Activate Free API Access
Log in or register on the PicSee website, go to Settings > API, and click the "Free activation" button.*Note: Phone verification is required for activation.
2. Enter Your API Token
After activation, copy the API Token from Settings > API page, then paste it into your PicSee Chrome extension.3. Choose Your URL Shortening Mode
The extension offers two modes:Quick Mode
In Quick Mode, the extension automatically shortens the current page's URL when opened. Get shortened URLs and QR codes with just one click.
Standard Mode
In Standard Mode, the extension automatically loads the current page's URL. You can specify your preferred domain and custom code before shortening the URL.
- Available domains: Choose from domains linked to your PicSee account. View or add domains in Settings > Domains.
*Note: You must enter the complete and correct domain name for successful URL shortening.

4. Get Started!
After entering your API Token and selecting your preferred mode, click "Let's Start" to begin shortening URLs!Simply visit any website you want to shorten, open the PicSee extension, and instantly get shortened URLs and QR codes!
5. Advanced Settings
URLs shortened through the extension can be found under Links > API Record on the PicSee website.Use the gear icon in the top-right corner of the extension to switch accounts (change API Token) or select different shortening modes.
Additional Notes
Save Links to My PicSee Account mode uses your account's API quota. Each account gets 800 free API calls annually. Check your current usage in Settings > API.
