Update destination URL

What if you need to change the destination of a shortened URL that's already printed? No worries - PicSee supports URL redirection updates!
Click the "Edit" icon next to the destination URL in your link history to update it.

Your shortened URL and QR code remain unchanged, and click counts continue accumulating. No need to update published posts or printed materials.
Note: URL updates have usage limits. See Pricing Plans for details.

Why Can't I Update My Destination URL?

There are two scenarios:
  • Original URL is YouTube: For security reasons, you can only redirect to another YouTube URL. If you anticipate changes, create your shortened URL with a non-YouTube link first - you can then update it to either YouTube or non-YouTube URLs later.
  • Original URL is non-YouTube: The new URL hasn't passed security checks. Test the new URL by trying to shorten it directly on PicSee. If it fails, see Cannot shorten the link for troubleshooting.
