Customize the favicon for shared links

PicSee lets you customize the website icon (favicon) for your shared links. On platforms that fetch favicons (such as Threads and Google search results), your custom favicon will be displayed, so your shared links look the way you want.

How to set it up

After logging in to PicSee, click your avatar in the top right corner and go to "Settings > Domains." You can assign a favicon to each subdomain and branded short domain. Recommended specs:
  • File format: PNG or JPG.
  • Dimensions: 48 x 48 px. Non-square images will be cropped to a square by the system.
  • File size: Under 2 MB, as detected by the website.

Important: Favicons must not use trademarks registered by others or content that violates public decency. If there is a risk of violation, PicSee administrators reserve the right to suspend the account.

Common questions

Here are common questions and how to troubleshoot them:
  1. Why is the old website icon still showing: To display your custom favicon, the short link must have an edited preview. Without an edited preview, the favicon of the destination website may be shown instead, depending on how each social platform works. Also, because browsers and sharing platforms cache favicons they have loaded before, a new setting will not take effect right away. We recommend waiting 24 hours, or asking a colleague who has not seen the old setting to check on their own device.
  2. Why can't I set it up: You must be an Admin of the group for this PicSee account. To set a favicon for a branded short domain, also make sure the domain is "Activated."
